Can I use campag gear cables inners in a shimano set up.

Looks like planet x are selling campag gear cables for £1 so would they fit in a shimano without issue? No idea if the cables are earlier or later.  The cables are to fit flat bar shifters

No idea if stainless or galvanised but would like to replace a few rusty cables in shimano outers.

So should it be ok?

Campag gear cables in Shimano levers is fine. The other way, not so much.

Indeed, removing Shimano cables from a Campag lever involves a pointed probe and lot of swearing - the gear cable nipples are different sizes, barely discernible to the naked eye.
