This is my bathroom. As you can see it's tiny. The old shower tray cracked during the week & is now junk. I need a new shower tray asap as I'm currently showering in the local sports centre.

[/size]I also want to do a quick & dirty refresh of the bathroom, ideally without re-tiling it. I'm planning on selling the place in the next 18 month, so want it to look presentable without spending too much money. So rip out the worst of the black & mouldy grout & redo with new stuff ?
I'm not going to find a shower tray to match the existing toilet & sink, so assuming a white shower tray replace with a white toilet & a smaller basin in a vanity unit for extra storage.
The old shower tray was 760mm x 760mm x 210mm. I had to cut a channel through it for the water feed to the toilet. All the current shower trays I see are very low profile, so will have to be raised to accommodate the pipe. What is the best way to do this, get a tray with legs such as

I think an enclosure or cubical would take up too much space.
How much area preparation is going to be needed ? There seems to have been some seepage into the area below the shower tray, plaster fell away from the brickwork and the plywood underneath where the tram was is damp & soft.

I'm on the top floor, so don't want to make a mess of this & flood my downstairs neighbours. Is it best to get a plumber/bathroom fitter in & leave it to him ?
