The sea at Clacton is wet, cold and salty. Pippa declining to treat it as an open water training swim.

Yebbut only cos I didn't have the correct bathing attire for swimming at pace.....or something like that....  O:-)

Fiddling with Pippa's tool and learning she's watched videos on the internet. Hmm.

And a very productive fiddle it was too :D Having lost the ability to properly pinch with one hand I may have had to resort to using my mouth at one point. Then Wow stepped in with some brute force :-X

There seemed to be some sort of photography duel going on between Del and Fatbloke.

Hmm... I'm not so sure - could this be the beginning of a beautiful romance?

FB - I note from your signature that you may be a fan of Get Carter.

Little known fact of the day alert..........

The mother of the two small children sitting opposite me while we had breakfast in Manningtree Station is the daughter of Ted Lewis who wrote the novel on which the film was based.

That is all.

Looked fine to me. But what do I know?

You and your long lens, Tim.

Some excellent shots there. :)

Somewhat late, my photos from this ride are here.  Some of the photos need to be straightened up, and some of the shots of the tower need to be stitched together.  The final lot of photos, chronologically should go in the middle, at lunch, but due to finger troubles they were taken at 1600x1200 instead of the full 3456x2592 that the camera is capable of.

Anyway, cockups aside, enjoy!
Actually, it is rocket science.

Why is it that, in every photo, Delthebike's sitting down - and not on a bike?  ???  ;)

I've been rumbled   :-[  I was taking taxis the whole time and haven't ridden a bike ever! I don't know how to ride a bike. What is a bike?  :P

I'm standing, well leaning, in this one from Tim Hall.

I think you'll find that's most of 'Alfie' sitting on the barrier behind Del in this picture  ;)

EDIT: What is going on with Del's legs in that shot?  :o

It isn't my leg, too shapely and not hairy enough, I think it belongs to Jo.

Apolgies to Naggers for not having said "Hi!" - I knew I'd been out on a ride with you before - with Peli methinks, but it was a while ago and my brane sorely let me down today. :-[

Same here, Jurek.
There were some faces I recognised from Peli's Mum's Ride and FnRttC but I'm so bad with names.
It never helps me that everyone has a real name and a forum name  :-[

Really glad I came along though. Always a pleasure to see Wow and FB
Shame I had to bail out at Clacton to get the train back to the office but it was a nice ride between two 12 hour night shifts.

I'm not sure if it was Sun burn or Wind burn I got on my bonce  :-\

Jurek (real name Jurek) Pippa (real name Pippa) and me (real name...) were discussing this very problem over coffee at Naze Tower.  Mrs. Hall (she hasn't told me her real name yet), looked at us like we were barmy.  ;)
