Well, the FAQ says:

What if I'm not conventionally attractive?

Great! Please come to the ride! We'll all be there to ride with you in celebration of your body's strength and individuality. People of all ages, sizes, builds and appearances ride on World Naked Bike Ride. At the ride, you'll be treated with dignity and respect no matter what your body looks like.

One of the amazing impacts of this ride is to show the world how varied real bodies can be; unlike the airbrushed images that flood the media and cause so much insecurity.

Anyway it's a great feeling to get sun on yer belly :)

(fuck, I'm in "do one thing every day that scares you" territory :o )
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

So if an <Sybil Fawlty> Aging brilliantined stick insect </Sybil Fawlty> could consder it, why would a healthy looking big person not?

a) Come with me to the Edinburgh one
b) Let me go alone

Don't fancy my chances of either  :-[

The difference is of course that Victoria Pendleton doesn't NEED to wear a bra ... ;)

I saw an article in the BBC News last week about a violinist who'd had a bout of rheumatoid arthritis but had managed to cure it, and it happened to be someone in my year at college, what's more she's doing a Wigmore Hall recital that evening, so a good way to spend the day in London.  If anyone else is interested PM me as we can book tickets online and coordinate the seating.

Sadly, the logistics of getting to Brighton in time for an 11 o'clock kit-off are close to prohibitive, particularly using a railway system designed not to work when people most want it to (as opposed to when they have to go to work). It's doable from Southend but Needham Market and Stowmarket require a trip into Cambridge first.

This removed my posr for some reason. Wows, what my message meant to say was "Come down the night before and stop at mine, and drink Harvey's over the road"

Thanks Tony, I'll give it some thought. At the moment I have two problems:-

1. I will have spent the two previous weekends away from home in Wales.
2. I'm not sure I've got the bottle to do a naked bike ride without a known companion. Annie too has family commitments.

I agree, as much as I would like to do this ride I must consider other people.

Next year in London will be easier for me.
