Welcome to the world of hens ! An egg already is quite something.

Don't forget - first dibs on the chicken shit. Never thought I'd write those words together in the same sentence.
A shitter and a giggler.

It's a bit late, but I would have gone with using Crypto type names, eg Alice, Bob, Charlie, Dick etc, although you'd have to use the female variants, say Alice, Bobette, Carol and and so forth.  Failing that Chicken One, Chicken Two, Chicken Three, and Chicken Four. ;D

(Of course, from a Black Adder perspective, Bob is a female name).
Actually, it is rocket science.

If the other three fail to lay you could threaten them with new names: hi-viz, helmet and cycle-path.

Bloody hell, they don't hang about. It's all a good thing though, shows they're not stressed.

They're...and Adela.

Eh? That's my lil sister's name and this is the only other time I have EVER come across it in the UK! Adele yes, Adela, very uncommon.

That is Chilli ( the replacement for Pepper who was eaten by a fox). She is a speckled cuckoo. Behind her in left to right are Muddy (Black Rock), Sugar (Sussex Light and the biggest bully of the lot) and Mocca (Northern Blue - supposed to lay blue eggs though they are brown with a very faint sheen that might be blue if you were looking for it).

She reminded me of this one... (being an almost opposite)

Charlotte and Julian have just popped by on their way back from the Chikkin place. It would appear they had an accident and acquired four, rather than three.

So, names for quartets required. I'm suggesting Harpo, Groucho, Chico and Zeppo. ;D

Carradice bag ladies?

erm..

Sue
Pricilla
Christine

and Kelly, then.
yes please, please,do so, we like that idea of the chickens being named after us!!
we are quite plucky around the sewing shop and dont stop clucking all day !!!
