Just been on a tour round some plant genomics labs. Doing very interesting stuff to try to breed much better crops for the worlds food (and other) needs. Only had the P&S A460 with me so pics aren't as nice as I would like.

Here he explains disease resistance testing in GM tobacco as a surrogate for potato (because tobacco is easier to modify and grows quicker for testing).
