I've gone for the saddle with cutouts now, it really is the best option.  (I'm riding a Terry Fly)

The Rolls saddle that came on the bike went onto the Brompton years ago, and interestingly the numb perenium it used to give after 70 miles has now come down to appearing after around 7 miles.   It's absolutely horrible, and not a feeling I like at all.   Even standing up for a few minutes to let things come back to normal isn't much help as the numbness returns almost as soon as I sit back down.

I knew that they say that Rolls are a poor man's Brooks, but at this rate the saddle will be heading into Brooks territory soon (blood cutting off numbness in under a mile).

I know it's too close now to suggest a different saddle, but maybe dropping the nose slightly to get more weight on the sit bones?

Ahahahahaha!  Sorry, that's not at all helpful, but *smugness* over my low flying lounger.

I get a much worse pain on recumbents.  The whole bum goes numb.
