I'm hoping to come.  I'll have to be extra nice to Mr R over the next few weeks to get a pass (the things I do for you lot...)

If you do go, do you want a tentmate?  :-*  ;D

Never been to one of these things but they look quite fun.

IIRC the US Air Force manages that without any help anyway.

I'm actually going to try to be there this year (for the first time in about 4-years), unless we're on holiday again. Not sure which day(s), but defo for the Saturday evening cycle jumble.

Put your hands up if you want me to be in charge?
*Hand is up*

I can stick forms and cheque in the post to you tomorrow.

Bobb, if we cycle and camp as last year we qualify for a £13 pitch, which as we know is separate from the main camping field and a little nearer the action and facilities, as such I think we'll need to make our own reservations - I suspect the others are driving and paying the full £21.

I'll print out my form now and bring it over to yours tonight. I think this year we should attend as an official contingent of Vélo Club de Mort! Which would be apt, as it was during last year's rally that VC de Mort was conceived. ;D

Good point - I guess tents are for passing out in, so it doesn't really matter where they are and there's no point in paying extra when you turn up properly ie on a bicycle  :P
Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!

Right!

Are you 'working' from home again? If so, get the Stella's in - I'll be over about 6 :P Let's get those forms in the post a.s.a.p.

Are caravans segregated from tents or is the policy one of integration?

Is Rich F back from York yet?  He was discussing bringing a huuuuuuuggggggge tent we could all share, or use as a meeting place/bike store.

Whoops!  I like the big tent idea though.

I am thinking of coming to Midlenhall and then taking the rest of the week off for a little light touring.  Any suggestions of routes from Mildenhall?  I've 'done' Norfolk...

Last years ride to MK was fun  Kings Lynn - Norwich - Ipswich - Colchester - Southend - Harlow - MK
450km

A couple of days should do it.

The car pitches are integrated. The lightweight pitches are put in some odd places, not grouped the way they are at York. Last year, the Fell Club booked 2 car pitches and divided the cost. It worked much better.  :)

Sneaky bunch y'are! I thought it was planned that way as it was near to where we, the 40+ group, ended up. Mind you even if you had said you were a cycle camping group where else could they have put you but amongst the car and caravans of the main field?

PS. Butterfly, this year if I, or anyone else, asks you to take a picture try not to shake so much.  ;)  :-*

I'm quite tempted by this. Trouble is, I never know what I'm doing.

I'm not going if there's banjos.

Or accordians.

Or ukeleles.

Kazoos and bagpipes are right out.
Getting there...
