Poor wee toot had another funny turn again last night.  :'(

Mel just sent me the link to this thread (she's been worried about Pippin) and neither of us can remember Bambi having any 'funny turns', he just went a bit lethargic and droopy before having the op. In many ways it might turn out to be the best option, but obviously your vet will know far better.

Thinking of the wee mite.

TBH I don't think the seizures are related to the hyperthyroidism.
Nothing I have been able to find on the internet about hyperthyroidism has mentioned anything about any seizures as symptoms.
She's 2 weeks through her 3 week course of tablets so if I assume the hyperthyoidism is beginning to be controlled that if the seizures were related to that they should be going away.
I'm beginning to think that the hyperthyroidism and that the seizures are seperate issues. Whether these are caused by epilepsy or something more sinister is a different matter. I don't suppose there's much they will do bar put her on anti-convulsants initially and I'm guessing they won't want to do that until the hyperthyoidism is under control - be that by medication only or the thyroidectomy op.
Having said all of the above I admit I am a terrible pessimist....

Aside from the seizures she seems very happy in herself.

Oh, and thanks Mel (and everyone else) for your thoughts.  :-*

She's OK. She's booked into the vet on Thursday so we'll find out whether she's getting an op. then.

Vet phoned a few minutes ago. Her T4 readings are down from 130 to 26 which is very much better. I asked about the op and the vet said as long as she's taking the pills with no bother if it was his cat he'd just leave her on the pills and stay away from the operating table.
So that's what we're going to do.
He also said he's not going to do anything while her seizures are sporadic but that I should keep a diary of her fits and if they become more frequent they'll look into it further. :-\
