Paving slab and cheese, then (been there, done that etc.)

Not sure what I'm having tonight, but having done a cursory check of the fridge contents it's fair to say that bacon will be involved

Bobb and I had homemade red onion tart tatin, homemade potato salad, and green salad. Then we had homemade apple & almond cake and cream.

I'm not going to tell you what we're having for dessert.

I know it is only 9:30AM, but tonight's supper is going to be Chicken Noodles.

I bought a couple of cooked chucks yesterday, stripped the flesh from them and used the carcasses to make stock.

The noodles will be cooked in plain water for 4 mins, then drained. the chuck flesh will be warmed through in sesame oil and soy sauce. The stock will have garlic, ginger and lemongrass added. For the last few minutes I will through in some thinly sliced carrots, runner beans and sugarsnap peas. Place noodles in bowl, pour over stock, add veggies then top with chook.

On the one hand, it's payday tomorrow so I'm tempted to go up to the curry house in the village and have a Bengal Bastard. On the other hand, I have to go to the dentist tomorrow and have two fillings seen to, at an as-yet-unknown (but no doubt astronomical) cost.

Decisions, decisions. I really do fancy a curry, though ...
