Spotted a guy in London last night in a red SS yacf jersey turning right on to Vere St, heading towards Oxford St, at 7pm. Road was jammed so couldn't make out his bike form where I was unlocking mine.

That was almost certainly me.  I was on my Ridgeback Solo fixed, and following the ever-beautiful Butterfly on her Galaxy.  We'd just been up to Kings Cross, and were on our way home.

Shame it was so busy - we weren't in a hurry, so it would have been nice to stop for a chat.
Getting there...

If I hadn't been suffering from post-work brain mush I would have called out a hello.

Next time, maybe :)

Last night, I saw origamist at Clapham Common South.  He was really shifting his Plug while I was pulling off onto the Common.

Oh dear.  That sentence sounds all wrong.

MattH spotted on the A30 in Sunningdale this morning resplendant in an LEL top. About half way through his 40 mile each way commute, where as I was 0.5 miles into my 8 mile commute.

(No other commuter I see rides on tri bars)

I spotted a Manotea earlier, but that was in my front garden when he turned up to swap a frame bag for some cash. ;D

He in turn got to spot me, and Talisker, who made an escape attempt.  I should get him a really tiny forum jersey.  Do they come in 5XS ?
Actually, it is rocket science.

Spotted MrsJJ by virtue of knowing what JJ stands for, and seeing a name on a tri-suit that went flying past whilst I was playing with my GPS. Caught her at the next junction, and got invited back to meet JJ and have a cup of tea.

Would it have been Oaky sweeping round the corner off Kingsway on a Dahon Cadenza Solo at about 6.05 yesterday?  That bike looks excellent on the road - i thought it looked a bit weird and ungainly in the shop but it looked like a fun ride.
What do you look like/ride/wear etc.? -- I'll keep an eye out in future!  (although I do tend to be going a bit "balls out" concentrating only on the road surface and traffic front and rear -- I've been amazed by the number of statues and even buildings that I didn't notice were there even though I go past ever day!)...

I've just shaved off a beard (which I am regretting) so the top of my head now has (very) slightly more hair on it than my chin does.  So, shiny dome, big ears and nose, usually on a dark blue Kona Paddy Wagon with nitto promenade bars, a carradice saddlebag and black mudguards, usually clad in black 3/4 trews and a <embarrassed> rapha or brooks jersey in black.

I commute between SE23 and Holborn, heading down Kingsway at any time between 8 and 9.30 am and back up between 6 and 8pm.

What can I say? This is a rare - extremely rare - spotting.

Coupled with a transfer of the Gaydisco, on any scale this has to rate ver highly. I'm thinking Richter 8+

May the Massi enjoy many wonderful miles, and may the wind always be behind you.

I was wondering what happened to the Gaydiscobike!  Have you got it now?

And Jogler and Marj, of course! 3 in one day (must be a record out here in the provinces, although all were invited, so perhaps this doesn't count as 'spotting' in it's proper sense).

Not any more. It's gone to what I suspect is an even better home.

Cub and I spotted billplumtree on a lane approaching Burton in Kendal. And then he accompanied us to Arnside (where we were spotted by one if the mechanics from our lbs in York) and treated us to fish and chips

Only just put the gps bracket on it and a quick ride around the block had it up to an easy 45kph  ;D
It seems hard to get its 81lb (+ my 200lb) up to speed but once it's up there it goes well.

There'll be no stopping you  :o

I remember one of those on PBP03, accelerating down the Roc towards Brest and pulling away from the truck that was following it.

On PBP07 we found one embedded in a hedge outside Carhaix
