Didn't think I'd be wearing a hat again until perhaps the end of the year.
But 05:40 this morning in Londres Sud definitely called for one.

Likewise in the Chilterns, car like a glazed prawn this am, temp at 0C.

Lovely & sunny in Liverpool.    A friend is in Madrid. She says it feels like July or August...... 15C higher than normal for the time of year.

My weather thing says it's 19C on my balcony.   I've just walked to the shops & was comfortable in a T shirt.

No frost here in Saarfend, but bloody cold. We've had the heating on all day and my hands are still cold. Highest temperature so far this month, and year: 16.8°C on 15th April. Maximum of 11.7°C today. 9.3°C now.

Had the heating on this evening after spending much of the day next to the big PC in the Estate Office, which warms the room quite nicely when the graphics card is running flat-out.

Here it's not cold but it is as grey as John Major's fourth-best string vest.

In fact when I popped out at lunchtime, I noticed the floodlights were on at Gloucester county cricket ground (which is on the hill opposite us but slightly lower, so easily visible).

Warm and sunny. But then I’m in Montreux. Think I sunburned my head drinking wine.

It's currently warmer outdoors, by a degree or so, than it is indoors.

Yes, we noticed that this morning. That's the trouble with old stone houses.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

Suddenly the temperature outside has shot up to 19°C. I went out with waterproof and fleece on and had to carry them home.

Turned into a lovely sunny evening.  Too late for the sun give off good heat.

We reached the dizzy heights of 16.5C in Suffolk. It was a beautiful, if windy, day. My ride to vote was made a little iffy by the wind! However, that rare bright interlude has been replaced by intermittent rain, overcast and 14C today. Spring seems as far away as ever.

Likewise down here on the edge of the Chilterns. Really quite windy yesterday, and temp in the sun breaching 20C around midday, before clouding over in the afternoon. Today it’s sunshine and showers (at this moment simultaneously), and quite a bit cooler. Accuweather’s day by day history is interesting, historically today would be 14C, forecast is 17C vs last years 18C. So pretty normal for the time of year.  Wind is back round to SW and thunderstorms are forecast. Oh joy.

ETA Did I say showers? Stair rods more like (and OT how long will that descriptor persist?).

Low 20s & muggy here. Sitting in T-shirt & shorts with all the windows open.  Might have a thunderstorm later.

The metaphor has always been odd, given that stair rods are horizontal.

Yep, black skies and an epic thunderstorm here now - and I'm stuck in the shed not daring to make a run for the house!
