Sorry Jo - not implying you had tampered with the stats (Heaven forbid!) - just that your daily update graphs have recently zoomed into the "action" area, allowing for greater clarity where it matters, thus leaving rusty missing off the bottom (quite rightly IMO).

Today's seen a long list of resignations - Clegg, Milliband, Farrage. IronOx ought to do the decent thing.

I'm really struggling to understand why someone would think it's worth submitting a ride of 8 miles every few days in the context of HAM'R.  It almost seems disrespectful of the event, the efforts of others and a total waste of time for those compiling the stats.

I see that IronOx rode 11 miles today, bringing his total for the last two months up to a staggering 41 miles.

He's currently 39,040 miles behind Godwin's pace. I don't think Steve, Kurt and Miles have too much to worry about.

What a shame; after such a promising start.

A bit naughty to resurrect this thread, but for those who are hoping for a four horse race (or perhaps three horses and an ox), William currently needs to average 722 miles per day for the rest of the year to beat the record.

He's on course for a record of sorts, first person to attempt and dismally fail the year record under UMCA rules.

Stretching the definition of 'attempt' too far?

I see UMCA have dropped rusty from their charts.  Is this an official retirement or have they just got fed up with entering his dismal stats, I wonder?

That's a bit unfair. If he can make up a deficit of 53,883 miles and then ride 206 miles per day on top of that for the rest of the year, he could still make it.

FB update says he's currently doing a triple iron man in Virginia, just finished the bike leg

That's a 7.1 mile swim, 340 mile cycle then a 78.7 mile run

At least Tintin is putting about a day and a half's worth of riding towards the annual total.
