Tarzan's route today reminds me of the join-the-dots puzzle from Monty Python's Big Red Book.

Roll in from work, bring up the tracker...ah, guess what, there he is - Marsh Gibbon [twinned with Teethgrinder].

Looks like another good day for Steve.

Not far from home now.  Relatively.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

I think I've worked out the appeal of Marsh Gibbon

Perhaps we can get the local council to put a plaque on it at the end of the year.

Must be great for the little kids who live there to look out of their windows at night and see all these long straight, laser-like, glowing orange lines, just hovering above the road surface, criss-crossing through the village. Well cool.

Looks like he's resisted the temptation to loop back round for a second Gibbon tonight.

Marsh Gibbon is exactly halfway between Swindon and Bedford.  I have sometimes stopped there for a flapjack.

Euphemism?

After almost 100 miles of riding up and down the same 12-mile stretch of road, Tarzan has branched off and is now heading east.

+1 just 4 miles shy of being 1k up on Tommy. Not bad for almost a month's work

If you'd asked any of us on Dec 31st where Steve would be in comparison to Tommy Godwin's record I don't think any of us would have said he'd be this far ahead.

GO STEVE!

He's diverted to Hook Norton !

Or maybe he's planning to make a gesture at Clarkson's house.
Oh no! Not Hook Norton! There's a brewery there.
Since I'm currently drinking one of its products I should note that there is also a brewery in Marsh Gibbon.

In an epic geography FAIL it's called Oxfordshire Ales.

Steve is 6 1/2 days up on Tommy at the moment.  But on the other hand he now needs to do 207.4 miles a day to beat the record.

Have I missed something or has Steve's mileage jumped a few hundred miles on Strava total?  ::-)
His avarage was just a tad under 300k a day, now it's jumped to about 205 miles per day ??

There's a double upload on Sunday 25th for some reason.
