I wonder if the hive mind might be able to help me with a little route planning for TCR please - the question is climbing vs distance: if I cycled 100km with 1,000m of climbing in x hours and 100km with 0m of climbing in y hours, is there a rough general rule for the difference between x and y? I know rider weight, power, gradient and altitude will make a difference, but in general is there a rough rule for time for elevation vs distance? Is it worth, for example, riding 50km further to avoid climbing an extra 1,000m? I realise it’s late and I haven’t framed my question very well…
