I have just made my first Sugru fix. Made a new knob for the oven clock which has been broken since we moved in 7 yrs ago.
It feels like it ought to be a rite of passage, popping one's Sugru cherry...

Waiting for the oven to cool down so I can remove the heating element to test whether it is broken. (Yes the oven is hot because the mince pies were then cooked in the top oven instead of the main oven - an interesting experience.)

I may find some throat medicine to assuage the tickle in my throat.

Waiting for an x ray in minor injuries *sigh*

It will be icy out there then!!!! 3 of us out of 8 came off on the club run, and we stuck to A roads! All 3 in the same half mile to a mile stretch on the A40

"New customer gift" is, I think, a pretty rough approximation. In my case it was a small black rucksack with the rose logo printed on it.

Full of food and now in the Qeh foyer. The food at Raymond Blanc was ok - we plumped for the pre-show bargain - but the service was v. Slow. Glad we arrived earlier than our booked time. The couple on the table near us were on the point of walking out.

Relaxing. My parents have just departed for home after staying for a few days which was nice but now I've reached the end of all the things I have booked for December/Christmas. Feels weird not to have something I have to do for once

I'm hoping that it's just a holiday fad that so many kids are going into the decent pubs around here but I fear that it isn't.
I didn't stop for a drink last night 'cos the pub was full of kids.
