MrB - are you planning to ride back to NTR for a train or back to York or.....

I'm (still) trying to work out whether to head to NTR or DAR for a train.

That was my plan, yes.  I'm a bit underlit at the moment.

Some of that water looked almost hub deep.

And Dean thought he'd come back in time to miss the monsoon!

Well that's the more blunt way of putting it but as usual he's dead right.

A few, choice pics....

Obv. me, in, as tiptop put it, "Gay pirate mode"... Thanks, tiptop, I will remember that....

This one from last week, sorry have only just remembered I took some on my dash from Thirsk to NTR...

Unremarkable? Bear in mind the last two were taken at about 23:00.....

As for last night, my boots are still soaked through and there is a puddle settling under the InBred in the garage.

At some point I am sure I will a) dry out and b) warm up.  Might not be until next year though :)

Thanks, everyone - that was a grand welcome back :) I think the mud from last September's ride up Foxton Lane is off my tyres now.

A few photos, of one of the larger puddles. Not the largest, mind - I did wonder if CL might have to be fitted with a snorkel for that one...

I have organised:

1) a babysitter for Thursday
2) my younger brother to join us

This means that this weeks will be going via Thirsk, to wherever (possibly Dalton, again).

My younger brother shall be riding his Dave Yates built Flying Scot, which some kind person gave to him as a birthday present.....

Indeed... they sound like an all-round good egg :)

Usual time and place?  I'm _fairly_ sure it must be my round too.

Weather looking good for today, so hopefully no bog-snorkelling tonight.

Apparently we may have not one, but two new victims riders tonight.

I can't make it tonight - but appear to have a meeting booked in my diary for early evening of Thursday 19th July (in N/A of course)  :)

You appear to be upping the ante here Crinkly.
Am I going to have to start taking pictures of Ginger Marble when I have one after a ride ?  ;D

That was the first, drunk mid-ride :)

James said to me, I still thought you were a serious load of cyclists until we got to the pub and saw you guys drinking beer and filling your faces with food!

A grand night it was.  Perfect weather, nice lanes, bats, bunnies and other wildlife abounded.  I got back at just after midnight.

Me n LG took the long way to the pub..

Over the ranges to Marske:

And stopped off at a couple of pubs, bike shops and churches, though we didn't find the grave of the 169-year-old man in Bolton on Swale.

It was a good run, with proper northern skies.
