Egg custard and figs.

Don't tell me food gets any better than this.  #orgasmic

Mashed potatoes, beetroots with stalks, and some bizarre eggy-pickled pepper concoction. I wasn't cooking tonight!

Chicken Jalfrezi and Pilau Rice. Cooked from scratch with fresh ingredients by E Minor, who's 13. His second attempt at cooking. ;D

Bacon sandwiches, but with the bacon done in the microwave.

It worked remarkably well ...

Made some pico de gallo/salsa (tomatoes, red onion, several chillies, coriander & lime juice), refried beans, green & red peppers fried with cumin all wrapped up in tortillas enchillada style with some grated cheese.

Living on my own, I'll be eating this for the next two days  :P

Vietnamese food for a late lunch (heavy on the fish sauce) and morning glory stir fried with shrimp paste for supper. I now absolutely stink of fermented fish. Excellent.

Nutella

No, not on anything, not with anything, just a jar, a spoon and a blanket.

A risotto with homemade chicken stock, peas & prawns. And enough butter. Mmmm.

Really rather good, but sorry, it's all gone. (Where's the 'bloated' emoticon?)

Made a pear tarte tatin earlier - not bad, but could have been a bit more caramelised:

Strangely, it seems to have disappeared.

Proper supper: a potato wrapped in foil and dropped into the embers of the incinerator for a little more than an hour (I've just burnt all the twiggy stuff from March's tree pruning).

If there were one potato left on earth, this is how it should be cooked.  A little bit of grated cheese and you eat the whole lot, including the skin.  I can't abide baked potatoes normally.

Home-made egg pasta (tagliatelli) made using my new toy, a pasta rolling machine. Unfortunately it saves a lot of energy; one could have a pasta diet & lose weight so long as you have to roll it out by hand. A top upper body workout with a rolling pin.

Also, since it is Ms Marco's 14th birthday (:-*), a Victoria sponge with cream & strawberries. Never made one before; time will tell whether it is sponge or biscuit.
