Calling yellowhammer

You seem to be well up on your insects & stuff, what sort of damselfly is this?

Looking at the British Dragonfly Soc webpage it looks most like a Small Red Damselfly to me, but it says they're rare and only found in S. England and W. Wales..... this was near Montrose.

And here a casing, of the same insect, or perhaps a dragonfly?

1/ It's a Large Red, black legs and on the abdomen and much more widely distributed.

2/Perhaps from a Broad-bodied chaser.

Looking again, probably the foreshortening caught me out.
