Having got the 2nd, 4th and 5th letters, I plumped for British English words first before moving to US English. There were at least 5 words that would fit and I had 4 attempts remaining. No prizes for guessing what happened!

Legs, I went through a similar thought process to you but without resorting to word lists. Took a bit of thinking to come up with that word though.

That took a bit of working out and a slight punt while trying options for where one letter should be and the possible end of the word.

Surelize (Wiltshire meets London language wise) an E is always a good idea somewhere in the first attempt? Am thinking to always use the same word first time

And as we learned yesterday US spelling is required

Yes even though the guy who coded it is Welsh. He lives in the USA and wrote it for his girlfriend who presumably is American though so that probably explains it.

Got it in 5. With my first word i had zero hits. My second got me 4 letters. All in the wrong place.
