Sad news. His eponymous solo album has some really good covers, I particularly like his version of Dylan’s Boots of Spanish Leather.

Saw him and one of the other Nazareth guys doing an acoustic set at Fibbers in York donkeys years ago. I didn't expect much but a mate was a fan and dragged me along. Was really good.
