Sorry to hear that but thanks for the events you put on and I rode, I had some great times/memories.

I feel that there is some friction between Pat and a participant in a recent event that Pat organised.  Maybe Pat could make a statement publicly about it and hopefully get the situation resolved amicably.

I hope Pat doesn't feel the need to make a public statement, AUK has a grievance procedure, and if any rider has a grievance, that's where they should go.

I wonder if people realise how much of his time Pat has put in for AUK. As well as organising some truly iconic events, he was the SE Regional Organiser and he rocks up to help as a controller on a ton of rides.

I actually occasionally wished he'd turn a blind eye (it took me ages to get my Tour de Ricky rides approved because he likes the idea that rides should actually cover the advertised distance). And I'll miss his particular tone of voice in his emails declining to approve my events! But I think the world of Audaxing will be poorer for his retirement and I hope a suitable monument can be erected in the bus shelter at Pear Tree Services.
