Yebbut Finn Russell is South African.
You are presumably referring to this:-
I agree, fd3. It was a very good try from a beautifully balanced player. I think he genuinely beat two of the non-tacklers by pace and swerve, though the last one, no 6 or 8(?), didn't seem aware that you have to go round the legs to stop someone that big going that fast. He may well have realised he could get badly hurt.
It was a very exciting game and a good win for South Africa 2nds.
Very happy to have caught you on your non-funny bone. Russell is a Scot (and a superb one). But W Nel isn't and became the 4th Saffer in the Scottish side by the end, I think. It doesn't bother me in the least but I think it does partly explain Scotland's resurgence. They needed new blood and it obviously wasn't going to come from Scotland. They have played very well since seeing the light. I just love to see good rugby and am wondering how long before Wales start looking around. Mind you, after they scrape a win against England, they may decide their troubles are over. I'm looking forward to the Italy game this afternoon but am irritated that England have dropped their only truly artistic player (Smith) in order to accommodate Farrell, the world's most boring fly-half. Smith's kick for England's try last weekend was worthy of Finn Russell.
