If you bought one of those every week, you could build a complete chain out of them after a couple of years.

7dayshop hybrid NiMH AAs, rear lights, for the use of.  Barakta's had normal NiMH's in hers, necessitating a recharge almost every time she goes out (I know it's July, but every other ride seems to involve the sort of downpour where having all your lights on seems prudent).

On-One by any chance?

I just happen to have bought some Ti loveliness this morning, the price was too good to pass up on....

We seem to be very hard on them? How can you give abuse to a bidon?

Nah - that would imply some degree of organisation in my life.  And it was _quite_ important to have them by today, so I nipped down the corner shop.

Wait and see :)  It's not one that you (or anyone else) would expect, and may turn out to be a complete POS.

As I say the price was just a bit too good to pass up on, which is why I add the disclaimer :)  If the frame turns out to be scrap I will at least have the components and the wheels to sell to make my money back.

Nah.  You only get outer links, not the narrower inner links.   Sorry.   :-[   ;)

It's black and less bulbous. Still mushroomy but less so. I actually tried a load on and went for fit and comfort rather than just price this time.

New Sram gear change chain for Brompton. Took the rear wheel off to fit new sprockets, & discovered that one link of the old chain was broken half way: one plate missing, rivets barely holding.  Explains the iffy gear changing of late.

Popped round to LBS, held out wheel, & said "Have you got the chain that goes in here?". They threw in fitting the circlip to hold the new sprockets, which I'd been struggling to put on.

A new jersey, as it was cheap(ish) in the LBS. Sizing's a bit italian (and my build is decidedly not) so it'll have to wait in the cupboard until it fits me better.  :(

Looked at the price of a Surly Troll.
Laughed.
Then bought 3 rolls of bar tape, some gear cable and 4 sets of brake blocks, which came to considerably less!
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

A new armband case for my iThing - don't think my current one will last through my tour.  On Friday I also ordered some Nuun tablets (and something else? I forget) from Wiggle.  This is to go along with a new therm-a-rest.  I leave first thing Thursday morning.

Another jersey because I'm inflating like a friggin' Zeppelin!

. . . and a little something off the *bay for the eldest as a reward for a positive school report.

Watch this space for Master W Torslanda's first drop barred bike - or if it's crap, pictures of another bike for sale back on the bay.
