Two Toobs1 for the Pugsley and a rather nice Surly chainring for OrangeGina from the LBS.

1 - can float small dogs, apparently. Who am I to argue?

A Lezyne Micro Drive rear light

After Saturday's tragedy and the one before it, I'm feeling a bit nervous, so I've decided to try running a daytime rear light on dragstrip courses.  This is similar to an Exposure Flare, but handily charges from a built-in USB port.

2 square taper bottom brackets
10 3/32" chains (I only need 3, maybe 4, but will keep the rest as spares)
2 sets of riser bars

Now need to go back to the LBS with my Shimano parts list.

Oh and go and see my brother about getting a frame repainted....

Exustar sandals from SPA at huge discount but with decent write ups. (Wow I have joined the sandal brigade). Now to find some cleats. I am not happy with Shimano stick this piece of sticky paper stuff on the sole atm as is not at all comfortable really and cleats dig into the soles of my tootsies. Gaffa tape maybe? No holds barred now..... on to the cycling shorts..........

Ordered a Spa brooks-a-like saddle yesterday. Not really sure what size I want but as all three are wider than my current one I went for the smallest and will see how I get on.

Of course I'm buying it as my current saddle isn't comfortable for longer rides so maybe I'd want a wider one.

Ah well, should be here soon, realised afterwards I should have got some proofide too as now I'll need another delivery charge when I do buy some

New rear wheel for the first choice bike, as the rim of the (cheapo-hubbed - no point in rebuilding) original split on the way home yesterday.  It held out as far as the Bicycle Works, who had a suitable replacement.  I left the bike there, walked the rest of the way home, and collected it - now rideable - after dropping FirstBorn at school.

Just about everything else (chain; cassette; chainrings, and - err-  front rim) is worn out too - so I've ordered some bits from Spa Cycles, including a dynohub wheel to power the Christmas IQ Fly.

3500 miles of fairly robust urban commuting; I just didn't quite expect it all at once  ::-)

Saw that, only got a gold discount but I know a chap at work that wants some new shorts. He's not ordered from Wiggle before so going to try and get a refer a friend voucher off of him :D

Actually he mentioned the shorts a while ago but the refer a friend thingamie was down for a while. Seems to be back up now.

Try this instead:

£4.84 for a much bigger tin, does the same thing, just without the Brooks name on it.

I've been on a little spree in response to just too many bargains. Not all today, but...

Sram X7 front mech for suzi's new mtb 2x10 crankset on her do-it-all bike (CRC sale for £22)
Specialized Henge saddle £17
Castelli jersey (one of the posh £100 odd new ones) £20
Hope headset (fingers crossed, TBC) £30
Kona p2 fork (v-brake) as new £25
Goldtec 36h double fixed hub £55

My Rapha sale parcel arrived  :D
I now have a 2nd pair of Rapha shorts and a hat that matches my Bristol CTC and Audax England jerseys.
I also have a present for simonp, but he needs to be here to get it!

I was gutted they didn't have the women's waterproof jackets on sale - Suzi's birthday next week and I know she'd like something a bit less 'geeky' than her bright yellow one.

Still, back on topic, I have just bought her some SRAM apex shifter and rear rear mech so her (less well used, summer) road bike and every-day bike will have matching gear systems to avoid confusion - also the sram levers are probably the best design to improve leverage on brakes from the hoods, so ideal for laydeeez

Bright yellow isn't geeky, it's dorky.  Black Altura Night Vision is geeky.   :D

Right, so with one coat I'm dorky and the other I'm geeky. What about grass-green coloured coats?
