Santa brought two Rapha-Condor drink bottles (to replace the Spesh one that cracked about a month ago)  :)

And a SP PV8 dyohub laced to a Velocity A23 rim to solve my lighting problems.  Woohoo!  ;D Feels splendidly light with no tyre.

The worst thing you can do for your health is NOT ride a bike

Santa brought me lovely Rapha kit from Feline and from my mum (as advised by Feline  ;D ).

I got Wiggo’s latest book from my aunt and uncle.

I got a "League of Gentlemen cyclists" t-shirt from my sister and her fiancé.

All good. :)

He brought the Cubs bonehead lights from on one.  Unfortunately both of the SmallestCub's front ones have dodgy switches.  Most irritating.

Has anyone tried to take advantage of Rapha's 25% off their Classic Softshell offer today?

I've tried it several times in three different browsers - but every time I reach the 'final' payment confirmation it throws up an error dialogue box saying they're 'unable to process the payment please try again, or phone this customer services number'

Which, needless to say, no one's answering today, and emailing them gets an 'out of office until Jan 2nd' reply.

Fantastic.

Given that the offer closes on Dec 31st.

Meh!

A pair of Rigida Chrina rims, black leather bar tape and a mini faux leather tool case all for the Hanlon project bike, and a cycling cap take the order over the free delivery limit.

Another Bagman Expedition - I've decided to bite the bullet and allow the yellow Genesis to carry luggage.

Might even have to buy another saddlebag to go with it1  :P

1 - said only partly in jest. My Camper Longflap saddlebag is starting to show its age, although I'm reluctant to pension it off as its colour now pretty much matches the frame of the green Genesis.

Well, I would have ordered stuff if their website had actually worked and let me pay. ::-)

1 x set of mudguards, 5 x mudguard lights and some nice cotter pins. Chasing other bits to get some bikes properly prepped for next year.

EDIT: Now ordered 34t chainring, blue handlebar tape, MTB toestraps, cheap dynohub, longer brake bolts, dynamo light mount, brake pads and 8sp 13-26t cassette. Still some bits to go, including an Alfine oiling kit.

It's one of these from PlanetX :

I have bought several of these and they are just the job for carrying a thingy repair set and a couple of spanners - if it's already attached to the bike then you don't have to remember to take it! I just can't bring myself to part with £60 or whatever for the genuine leather Brooks equivalent.

WellI might have bought a Smart Lunar light set and a cotton cap from PlanetX, and I might not. Browser froze upon clicking buy on Paypal. Didn't hit refresh as didn't want to buy it all twice.

I have an email receipt from Paypal but nothing from PlanetX's computers. Will see if there's any movement tomorrow and if not email them. If the transaction hasn't gone through hopefully I will find out whilst it's still free delivery for orders over £20.

I think the checkout's been broken for most of the day (I've tried a few times at different points!) until just now. If you've got an email confirmation from Paypal, that's more promising than what I was getting (nothing, and it hadn't gone through in Paypal either). Had another go a few minutes ago and it's worked, finally - confirmation emails from both Paypal and Planet X.
