Yesterday's jaunt round muddy Dales bridleways has confirmed my desire to get a hardtail - so I've ordered one of these: -
:)

Also ordered some Tektro 720 cantis to replace the oryxs on the horizon as though they were fine on the old vantage, I can't stop them juddering on the horizon.

Not bought today, but I got my grubby mitts on them when I got home on Friday:
Some M6 * 60mm bolts
Some M6 Nylock nuts
Some M5 * 12mm bolts
Some M5 nylock nuts
An assortment of heatshrink.

The first two items were put to good use at the weekend when I removed the SP light from the Dave Yates and replaced it with an IQ Cyo.

I thought I'd try some On-One Mungo bars, and bought a few other bits to make up the free postage. A cap, some lights and a chain. I'm sure there was something else I meant to get, though.

I'm seriously thinking about buying this frame. Then transferring the
parts from one of my bikes that has this frame.

2 pairs of shorts and two jerseys, commuting, for the use of.

My good jerseys and shorts are starting to look the worse for wear after a summer of commuting in them, so I took the plunge and hit Sports Direct for a couple of pair of their £10 cycling shorts.  OK, they only have flat pads, no gel or anatomical shaping here, but I am only doing 9 miles each way so such things aren't important!

A set of Crud II mudguards from Wiggle for £19.99 for the winter bike. Am replacing the SKS ones; which are more sturdy but rub no matter how much I adjust them.

two Schwalbe silento tyres for daughters bike as her knobblies were starting to crack. This will make a difference to her commute to school. And a ping bell, and a new set of cateye lights as the old ones suffered an exploded battery and died.

Nearly bought a New Looxs satchel/pannier - looks very trendy and has excellent design features for the price - that could be an early christmas present.

A cheapo rear rack from Sports Direct for the hack. It doesn't actually look too bad (except for the bolts, which I threw away as they were pure cheese -not good for a bike that lives outside in the rain).

A Cateye Nano Shot front light.  It has good test results on road.cc in terms of lighting up the road or path in front of you, and I have a potential route down by the river which is unlit and thus my old 'to be seen by' Brompton front light is nothing like sufficient.

ITM bars and an Atax stem, accidentally, on Ebay. At 99p and a few quid for postage I am sure that it will be OK.  ::-)

More unexciting electrical fixtures and fittings for Project Electrify, now that I have the actual measurements of the battery.

A couple more deliveries and it should be a simple matter of sitting down with a soldering iron and drill, and mantling it all together.

Apart from whatever critical component I forgot to order, of course.

A Showers Pass waterproof cap, because I can't find my cheap and nasty one and I don't want a soggy head.

Of course, now I've ordered, the lost one will magically reappear...would be good to have a spare, anyhow.

Various braking related bits and bobs for the green bike (front and rear IS->post adapters, 2x 180mm SLX rotors) - I found myself wishing for 180mm rotors on certain parts of the Tunnels Ride, so hopefully they'll be fitted by the time the South Lakes shindig comes around when, I suspect, I'll end up wishing for 203s or something ...

Means I'll have to do all the bedding-in malarkey again, but such is life ... on the plus side, all my disc-equipped bikes will be running the same sized rotors.

A pair of Velocity Blunt SL rims plus spokes and nipples to go with them.
I also ordered some Rohloff oil; I went for the 250ml bottles of oil and flusher which should cover my needs for the next 10 years........

Couple of Topeak HB Fixer #5 bag mounts for my old faithful Tourguide.  The "new" bags the same but the new mounts are lousy.  Wish they'd use Klickfix.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight
