A s/h Van Nicholas Ventus f&f ... and then some bits from Chain Reaction.

I already have a Van Nic Yukon - hopefully my wife will never see both of them at the same time and I'll get away with it  ;D

I think this means it's time to lose the Raleigh Crit (with the filed out sprung front dropouts, framesaver nut and other bodges that's probably not a bad thing)

A packet of Haribo.

The vendor threw in, for free, 2 x gear cables, 2 x brake cables 1 x rear mech.

I think you'll find that the Haribo are metric and will, therefore,  be useless on your imperial Mercian (Green, in colour).
Best forward them to me.

Thank you for your concern. Sadly, some greedy bastard* has scoffed the lot.

Ordered a back wheel rebuild from LBS.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

After two previous attempts, I finally got some Gore Windstopper leg warmers that fit.
The 1st pair were M (like my failed pair) but I couldn't get them up my far from massive thighs.
The 2nd pair were L and were very tight but also too short.
These are XL and they fit very nicely at the top of my legs but it's a little bit of a struggle to get them over my calves and my calves are quite skinny.
It's lucky that I no longer play football; my legs have shrunk considerably since I stopped.
Strange that Gore don't expect cyclists to have leg muscles ............

Praise to Bike 24 for having good prices and an excellent returns system
After today's windy ride home from Helen's, I'm thinking about a pair of Windstopper arm warmers.
I just need to decide on the size  ::-)

ETA: there's an excellent sewing place in Whitefield and they managed to fit a new zip to the old pair so they've been given a new lease of life.

Four caps, two plain old cotton ones (due to me snapping the peak on my other two) and two Walz wool with earflaps (due to me having temporarily mislaid the one Ruthie bought for me).

anna load of socks.

A pump. The little spigot thingy that lets all the air out of Schrader valves had broken off the long unused mountain bike's pump and I would like to ride it next week.

A red Hope rear hub, white Halo rim and some Swiss stainless spokes (red nipples of course) for Barbara's ICE 26, twill make it even posher   :)

A stem, to fit my new (oversized) bars. And a longer Di2 cable than the one I originally fitted, so I can pull the seatpost battery out without risking hauling the internal JB down the downtube into the BB.

Oh, and some Superfeet insoles to try and see if I can resolve the numb toed issue that persists despite trying different pedals, shoes and cleats.

Not "bought", but took delivery of a replacement Garmin after my old one started behaving very oddly. Top service from Garmin who replaced it FOC.

Not quite yet, but when I've done a bit more measuring and checking of various things: a diamond shaped sculpture made from lightweight iron pipes.

Cheap as chips Aldi bike pump (5 Euros). Possibly useless (have not tried it) and undoubtedly tricky for an effectively one-armed lady but having bought a CO2 pump and cartridges a friend told me not to just rely on that but also have a backup pump. So I wanted something small and light as the backup pump which hopefully I won't need to use.

Also, rather handily, Aldi were selling German cycle route books/maps so I got the two Rhein ones that my upcoming tour covers. I already have the Bikeline books but these books have more detailed maps (although less other info, not that I need that as I know what I'm doing) so I'll take the Mannheim to Köln one instead of both Bikeline books (I know the way home from Köln so don't need that one). The Bikeline books are from Konstanz to Mainz and Mainz to Rotterdam so I'd have needed to take both.

The Aldi books were 4 Euros. Bargain!
