2009 - the Year of the Fairy

at some point I must have really angered the P******e  Fairy.  So far this year I've had 5 incidents.  The first on 1st January and 4 in the past week!  They have hit each wheel, on 2 of my bikes, and in each case the cause has been small fragments of glass.  The incidents per tyre stats are:

1 x Marathon - rear
2 x Gatorskin - front
1 x GP4season - rear
1 x Racelite Hardcase - rear

Lets hope that my quota has been used up for the year, in time for the audax season.  On the positive side, I'm getting really good at mending tubes.

Join the club, 4 so far... - even today when just pumping up tyres on a workmate's bike, I managed to tear the tube at the valve base so once more ended up faffing around with tyre levers and inner tubes!

I've had about 7 this year despite hardly cycling anywhere. Today is the first day this year I think that my stable has every tyre still fully inflated!

I've run of of tubes, and had to order 10 more from Parker International.

That should see me through until March.
