Is it really necessary?
£63
is a lot of money for a chain tool! I've got a Chorus Ultra Narrow 10 speed chain to install.

I don't know about the ultra narrow, but I shortened a regular 10 speed campag chain using my trusty park chain tool, then joined it with a Wipperman link. No problems with it since.

same as ZH here. You need a speed linky thing to re-join it, the campag own system is a PITA.

Any decent tool will break the chain OK.
Make sure any joining link is suitable for a 5.9mm chain. One intended for Shimano 10-speed will be fine. Note that older Campag 10-speed chain was wider, and some links supposedly for Campag were designed for the old size.

I installed a new Chorus 10 Speed Ultra Narrow on my bike with a standard Park chain tool.
The chain tool wasn't a problem, but I do have a useful tip -
"ALWAYS REMEMBER TO THREAD THE CHAIN THROUGH THE GEARS BEFORE YOU FIT THE LINK"

Thanks people. It's a brand new chain and so I have the correct links/pins etc. If I can't borrow the Campag tool I might just use what I've got then.
