Funny Valentine, as sung by Kim Novak in Pal Joey.

Don't change a hair for me
not if you care for me
stay little Valentine stay

Good grief!

Actually, I think I know where it came from - it was a bonus question on PopMaster the other day.  Which means I was lucky - yesterday Ken Bruce played a brief blast of The Birdie Song by The Tweets (I'm not cruel enough to post a link to that).

EDIT: Ken Bruce has just played Hoots Mon! in full

Yesterday I had this, so you can bloody well have it too >:(

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/sPZYxVXSOFc&rel=1" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/sPZYxVXSOFc&rel=1</a>

WARNING: introduced by Jimmy Saville - those of a nervous disposition shouldn't be so damn stupid as to click on the link in the first place ::-)

But this evening, I had a slight contrast: <a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/pDKyj35ew0E&rel=1" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/pDKyj35ew0E&rel=1</a>

This morning, though, I had a curious mash up of <a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/xqOMuR5Z530&rel=1" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/xqOMuR5Z530&rel=1</a> by Mama Cass, and Getting Tighter by TRB.  Sadly, for those of you not familiar with the oeuvre of Tom Robinson, suffice to say it is similar in tempo & theme to <a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/RR40vZQCXh0&rel=1" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/RR40vZQCXh0&rel=1</a>.  Confusing, to be sure... ???

Bizarrely, this morning, I had the odd experience of having this:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/su3JdzUUuH4&rel=1" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/su3JdzUUuH4&rel=1</a>

segueing into http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCQ0vDAbF7s&ob=av3e

at the sudden end of the orchestral bit about 2:50.  I can see why now.  About 2:50 in Macarthur Park there's a bit that resembles the theme from SHP.

Good use of pedal power by REM, too ;)

It's Ken Bruce's fault!  As the price of hearing the exclusive preview of Kate Bush's new song, we had to drag our way through bloody Kiss's pathetic 'I Was Made For Lovin' You'.

Now that's two mornings commutes spoiled by Gene Simmons untalentedly spouting repetitive crap into my brainstreams. >:(

Okay, this is technically a comedy routine, but it got stuck in my head while cycling, so counts as an earworm (and a particularly earwormy one, at that):

This latter I heard a while ago attached to a bit of video, but I only recently found out its provenance.

Check out Noisettes' older and other stuff as well.  A much under-rated band.  (I haven't bought their records, but I recognise talent when I hear it!).
