Pan out to show Ian H, sitting on a bench, puffing on a Hamlet. He glances back and forth from broken fork, to his trusty fixed gear, propped against the potting shed.

He chucks the cigar away and calls toward the kitchen door... "Just popping out for a quick ride. I may be some time all weekend."

A broken steerer nearly always leads to tragedy.

In this case, poor drainage and weeds.
