Firefox Web Address Window
« on: 26 April, 2008, 02:56:17 pm »
I've just started using Firefox under Linux, though I was familiar with it under Windows.  Under Windows, when I click anywhere in Firefox's web address window at the top of the screen, the whole previous contents of the screen are immediately highlighted, which suits me, as I can just start typing a new address.  Under Linux, however, Firefox behaves differently; it just places a bar cursor wherever I click in the previous address, without highlighting.

How can I get Firefox to highlight in the second setup?

Doubleclick, or click on the page icon next to the URL?
