Mrs Pike an' I went out taking photographs last night.  Mrs Pike is much more photogenic than I am.  Also, she has the better taste in hats:

Flat Earth Bob, at Ernst's birthday Ceilidh, under flourescent strip lighting, handheld at about 300mm equivalent. Not many shots came out.

Another Ceilidh shot.

If you rode the Daylight 600 in 2007 this is who probably stamped your card at Crianlarich on the return.

There's a reason to take up audaxing !
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

When I posted the photo below on Facebook it caused a certain amount of hilarity so you lot might as well have a titter ;D

The scene is my parents' back garden.  The date is July 1987; I am 23 and about to embark on my pan-European bike tour.  The bike is a Raleigh Clubman ...

I joined this forum with the intention of entering the world of Audax.  Sadly I never did do one...ever. Instead I threw my time into forming a new club. This picture was taken after doing what I suppose was the closest thing to an Audax I've ever done; London to Paris to London, four days. 115 miles, 182 miles, 140 miles and 115 miles. Taken outside the HO of the charity we chose, the 'Carers Trust'

Oh and BTW that is a very nice hat.
