Cracking bit of fun last night, even with a full pannier and D locks the legs were good enough to give my commuting mate a run for his money holding 40 kph ish from Stretford to Urmston, amazing what a couple of days rest do for you. Bonus draft off a streetsweeper into Flixton.

Different story this morning though, that wind was really quite unpleasant.

Fabulous morning ride in this morning, quick, dry (though the ditches were full and the roads wet) and little issues from the traffic.

I was playing cycle courier on the way in this morning so went down the main road for the first time in ages. Smooth tarmac, a fast bike and a following wind made for a very enjoyable ride in, even with the extra traffic :)

Didn't ride in today but sat on the bus to the tube station.... I was thinkin' how great it was that there were dozens of cyclists just zooming off in every direction which really made me think I was in Amsterdam. Was also incredibly jealous that I couldn't ride today.

The end of winter must be in sight as I ditched a set of lights, not that the weight reduction made much difference, so very slow this morning, a big dose of CBA.

No rain. No wind. No frost. No ice. An unusual commute for 2016.

Lazy today, just enjoying the rather strange glowing ball over Manchester

Foggy, I thought the fog was getting thicker and thicker until I realised my glasses were collecting the mist and took them off.

Was that fog even forecast?  I had to take my specs off too.    Pretty thick in places, and a fair number of ninja cyclists encountered.

Ninja cyclists?  Ninja cars round here.  Even one of the drivers in the office commented on the number of cars without lights in the fog this morning.  I blame those automatic headlight thingies, and failure of drivers to understand what they do and do not do.

Same, should have done a short ride in and a long ride home. Fog was horrible.

As I climbed the ramp from the staff car park, I said to myself, "9" (The number of times I will ever do that again)

"6"

Oh, what a glorious morning, wonderful ride in on a warm, bright morning. Then get to work to hear the ups room went up in a puff of magic smoke overnight so no showers, no servers and no voip.

Like riding through treacle this morning, just enough of a nagging wind to make it hard work, at least it was sunny, if a bit chilly.

-11 for me!

Felt like I was missing something this morning - for the first time. Looked like a wonderful day to be riding in. Haven't got myself into gear for recreational riding yet - and, even if I did, it'd be too tempting to delay until after rush hour and therefore miss the dawn.

Sunny, springy, and first time on the new bike I've been rebuilding

Went rather well... apart from a rattle on the front mudguard

Climbed really well into Painswick and then got stuck in the queue of traffic waiting for the lights further up, it's so narrow there is nothing I can do apart from sit wait and try not to breath in too much as the smog is horrible.
