1200 in Russia

Hi, all!!
Randonnee Club of Longdistance Bicycle Trips "Baltic Star" presents:

Brevet "St.Petersburg-Onega-Ladoga- 2010" - 1200 km

5-9 August 2010

One hundred years ago, when the audax was born, brevets were conducted mostly on unpaved roads. Nowadays to create a logical and beautiful route for Event with extended dirt road segments in Europe has become extremely difficult. In Russia this possibility still remains, quarter of Saint-Petersbourg-Onega-Ladoga 1200k brevet consists of unpaved roads.

Hi Mikhail,

I had thoughts about the Cheropovets ride in June, realistically I don't think I'll make it though.  Early August I'll probably be doing something with the children.  One day though.

If it was you on LEL with the problem on Monday coming up to Eskdalemuir, hello again.

I will not be able to ride this in 2010 but do Baltic Star run 1200k rides every year?

It sounds like an adventure.  :hand:

1200 km brevet in Cherepovets will be managed by their local cycling club. More information will be provided in near future. As an alternative there is our 1000 km brevet at the same dates.

There will be "3 countries" 1000 km brevet at 18 June 2010 (start time is 20:00 local time). The start place is situated at Vyborg (Leningrad district, Russia). The route is the next: Vyborg - Helsinki (410 km from Vyborg) - ferry to Tallinn (takes ~ 2 hours) - Tallinn - Tartu - Narva (410 km from Tallinn) - Ivangorod - Sosnovy Bor - St.-Petersburg (190 km from Ivangorod)

We are going to manage next 1200 km brevet by "Baltic Star" at 2012 year. Only asphalt covered roads will be used at this brevet.

I do like the look of that but I think it's unlikely I'll be able to do it this year

Do you mean that the route goes on dirt tracks?
Also what are the transport links like between the start and finish points

Looking at the LRM 2011 calendar, it seems that this event (like the 2010 German 1500 km) isn't a BRM event. les randonneurs Mondiaux

Very logical since this event was held in 2010.
It was an LRM event in 2010.

Hello!
This year we invite to the event 600/1000 km
08-11 July 2011
The route is similar to 2007 http://balticstar.spb.ru/2007_1001_en.htm
This is good preparation for PBP, a lot of hills.
