Shimano M520s, I have 3 pairs (all on different bikes. Although they are not top of the range SPD pedals they just seem to last.
Got to agree with this I have a set thats 7 or 8 years old , never had any maintenance and run just as sweet now as when new. Needless to say all my other bikes ( bar 1) are fitted with them
oh yeah, they are bloody good - for the price of some cleats you get not only a pair of cleats but also a superb pedal! the last ones need some bearing adjustment after 1200km, tough. and even this was an easy job!
Hope Vision One.
Not sure which version you have but mine (Hope Vision One Adventure) developed two faults (battery casing) within the 1st year. Hope serviced them for free, tough. Nevertheless, a waste of time and postage. If they work they are well worth the money, tough.
And two of my favorites:
- Garmin Edge 705: No other single piece of technology has transformed my riding more than this GPS device. Apart from commuting, it is always a helpful companion during the ride - afterwards anyway!
- not sure if it deserves to mentioned here (yet) but my new Time SPD 'skiing-boot ratchet' carbon sole shoes are a revelation - after using my pair of Shimano soft sole touring shoes for more than 10yrs. Didn't think the stiffness would make such a positive difference (esp. on fixed)...
