I think the Marathon Supremes are available with both folding bead and a traditional metal one.  Mine are folding, and I found them exceptionally easy to get on my wheels.

If you want something with more tread than a Marathon, Marathon Plus or Marathon Supreme, there are things like the Marathon Plus MTB, Marathon Plus Tour etc
Actually, it is rocket science.

My Supremes do pretty well on gravel (I cycle a lot on the TPT) but they're not so good on wet grass or in mud. For those surfaces, I used to use Marathon Extremes (had 2 sets of wheels so I could swap them easily) and my replacement bike will have them fitted when it comes.
Extremes grip well on most surfaces and they seem quite nippy on good surfaces. Pricy though.

Like Jacomus, I like Schwalbe tyres  :thumbsup:
