I can indeed report, with a certain pride and some emotion, that Little G, aged 3 years, six months and 14 days, has ridden, for the first time, her little new red bike, alone and unassisted, some minutes ago, at her third sortie on it too.

This is the moment daughter age 4 or so took first unaided pedal.

(Well when she travels with me or us she does have her own on board suitcase, filled with the indispensable, bear, pillow, blanket, some clothes, books and food and loves to fly... Ooops, OT here.)

Nope; we went out again this pm for a pub lunch and then a "stroll/ride" around the park. Tight corner manoeuvering resulted in the first grounding of a pedal and a minor crash but she's learning (she'll be ready for the track soon ! That's a joke! ;o) and, more importantly, enjoying it & becoming more confident! And it is all rather nice to see for her dad too I must say, though I try & make sure this is her choice when/if we go out.
