Does anyone use alloy chainring pinch bolts?

I'm going to try them on the SEEKRIT Brompton PROJEKT, which is of course not fixed.  I need some new bolts for the Inbred, having stripped a couple  :-[ but a nagging voice says they wouldn't cope with the torque reversals or the sheer pedal force needed to climb a 1 in 6 hill on 70" fixed.  Am I being too cautious?

I've known of people have problems snapping the steel ones.
Admittedly it was under fairly severe provocation - honking a tandem, with touring luggage in Switzerland. I think they got through 4 or 5.

I am sure at least two of my fixed bikes have alloy chainring bolts.

I use vintage steel campag double ring bolts, these have a knurled edge to them so they can be gripped with a pipe grip, this allows you to tighten them down all the way onto a single ring, more thread engagement so fairly strong.

I have just fitted some M-Part black alloy chainring bolts on my fixed commuting bike (the selling point being the torx fitting on one side and the 6mm hex fitting on the other instead of the traditional slotted type) and no problems yet.  Mind you, our garden path doesn't ramp up to 1 in 6.
