Splendid hats - Portobello Market?

I'm going to be in London with a few hours to kill before the zombocalypse ride.  I need a splendid hat for pennyfarthing use at Dunwich... is it worth tooling down to, say, Portobello Market for dress-up silliness?  Or anywhere else..?

Pith helmets, pickelhauben, bowlers... that's the sort of thing I'm after.

What you need is a retro type shop - maybe a prop shop wot sells military hats.

Lock Hatters will sell you a pukka new one, but at a price... 

Don't go there on spec, but might I suggest that you give Laurence Corner a call to see if they have a Pith Helmet for sale?

[edit] I got a pith helmet off eBay for a tenner about a year and a half ago, it's not bad - although not as mighty as the one I bought in Sydney in 2005 and had stolen right off my head at a gig the first time I wore it out!
