Was nice to meet  a few folk on the Friday night, albeit too briefly, and put some faces to some names including CL, andrewc, Regulator (who according to Miss S is "dead cool"), TGL and Butterfly amongst others. Looks like you had a great weekend, hopefully next time I'll have a bit more time to socialise.

I did think she was a clever lass...  ;) ;D

I'll try that method at Swansea station next time Basil. ie not book and hope for the best.

Careful!  I was talking about going West into the relaxed part of the world.
The Arriva train that goes to Manchester via Hereford probably does need bike reservations, although that is still unlikely to award you anywhere to actually put your bike.
First Great Western will definitely need reservations.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

Noted! Will only try this if visiting Tenby or Pembroke.  :)

Speaking of Poo, I've just realised that in all the snarking about the state of the A34 cyclepath, I've completely forgot to mention the way the boaty place at Norton Junction tried to drive off the lycra-clad weirdos by starting up a sewage pump just as we were sitting down for lunch.

It was, to use the technical term, a bit wiffy.

Oh.  Is that what the bloody noisy thing was?

Hmm, all the pics show up OK when I look at them in Firefox, but when I use Safari 6 of them don't show up  ???

Edit - sized some of them down, hope that will fix it.

Hey! Thank you campers...
A special delivery from Alan&Marj couriers this morning was a big surprise.

That was unnecessary, but is much appreciated. There's a certain Mrs G making whisky appreciation noises at the moment.

We had fun.
