AMT? Does that stand for something as I've never heard of them.
Wiki says they were founded by Alistair McCallum Toppin, so I guess that's it.

Thanks Tim - don't think they've reached as far as Kent yet.

Hmmm.  Costa and Cafe Nero can be pretty variable.  If there's an AMT available I tend to go there, partly for their pretzls and partly because they do double-shots as standard (I found this out the hard way, palpitating all the way to Glasgow).

That being said, I've recently found Starbucks filter coffee to be pretty drinkable.

None as good as mine, mind  ;)

I checked with the SoHo coffee co. guys at my local and they tell me that they're in London and recently, strangely, in Iraq!

Nero on the high street and Costa on the motorway.

had a starbucks today and was very surprised to discover that it was actually not only palateable but actually quite nice. Just a small 'filter' coffee, rather than americano or latte.

I had a rather nice Cappucino in an ironically* named, "Eat," yesterday.

*They didn't have much food on offer, so not really a good place to go if you want something to eat.
