Looking north from South Delta

Evening at Boundary Bay

Midnight(ish) somewhere over Greenland.  Wish I could've taken that one from the front!

Not a classic, but the only one we've had so far.
It is simpler than it looks.

Can I join in?

Up a wee hill last night getting chilly seeing what the sunset would do.  Totally over egged HDR i'm afraid:

Yes, nothing worse than the Martian Landscape being ruined by wind farms...   ;)

I thought my next effort would deserve "What a beauty!" but seeing some of the others above, it would appear to pale somewhat when judged against them. Anyway, sunset over Ericiera, in Portugal about 3 weeks ago.

Certainly never seen cycling south of Sussex

What I think you're trying to say is "No Brits", which is much better when abroad. Probably our 7th time in Portugal, and they are jolly friendly.

Yes - Portugal is our oldest ally. Although I'm not sure why after what we have done to their SE coast  ;D

Dunno about the south coast, as we've never 'done' that bit. We're always heading north east of Lisbon (about an hour away) for the surfing duuuuuuuude! (insert nodding smiley). Like, tooooaaaatally dude.

I know air travel isn't always popular around here, but I'd miss scenes like this

Half term's when the traffic becomes mysteriously less bad for a week.

Taken by David Kaplan. What a fantastic photo! One can well imagine the photographers reaction with everything just 'coming together': the clear sky, the alignment of Venus and the Moon, the beautiful colours and the way the town's lights put a blush on the lowering clouds.

APOD: 2011 February 2 - Moon and Venus over Switzerland

Does anyone know if you can get prints of these images?
