So I've offered to help a friend look for a bike and wonder if anyone has any recommendations.
Budget is £200 which I think probably means second hand is the way to go. Unfortunately I only just know what size bike I need let alone what she will? The young lady in question is 5'2" and is looking for a flat barred bike, not planning to off road but I think something capable of gentler bridleways can't be a bad idea.
I don't think she is set on either a normal or dropped toptube provided she can get her leg over. Similarly not bothered I think by whether 26" or 700c wheels.
So I'm wondering a) if there is anything on the new front that might suit (yay warranties) and b) if trawling the FridayAd for secondhand what size do we want to go for, obviously I'll make sure she test rides whatever we look at but don't want to waste time turning up to look at bikes that are faaaar too big.
