Well done AM.

Is time up on the "Big Four"?

Ranking points since start of 2016

Djokovic8040
Murray7225
Raonic3835
Nadal2930
Nishikori2905
Thiem2835
Wawrinka2370
Berdych2260
Federer2130
Goffin1995

Time's been up on that for a while.  Nadal is a crock now (long predicted and sadly) and age is finally catching up on the Fed Express.

I'm surprised Murray is that close to Djokovic - cool.
It's a reverse Elvis thing.

He's not, that's only half a year.

For the full year it's still Djokovic Murray Federer Nadal.

Ask Juan Martin del Potro about coming back from wrist injury.

It's also worth noting Murray exited the US open at the round of 16. Federer was a finalist and Djokovic the champion. So they're both defending a lot of points from that. I think it will be hard for Federer to get to the final again.

Exactly.  While the Fed and Nadal can still cut it near the top they aren't, imo, what they used to be.  The classic- big four was (for me) when Nadal and Fed were at their peak and Murray and Djoko were knocking heavily at the door.

Whilst it might still be them four in the top four currently, I can't really see either Fed or Nadal ever winning a slam event again (I hope Nadal does, but I can't see it).  Really now it's the big one - Djokovic is clearly a class above all, with Murray a class above all - except that Djokovic chap - grr.  Nadal and Fed are more or less also rans for me these days.  I'm not sure why Federer bothers now but I guess he still enjoys it :)

Lepto normally is associated with water due to rats' urine.

Also, dogs can be a vector.

Someone obtaining contaminated urine and adding it to her water bottles seems quite far-fetched.

That young Englishman Kyle Edmund was up against Gasquet in the US Open R128 today.

6-2 6-2 6-3.

Some result, well done. Gasquet was seeded 13th.

Well done Jo Konta, a good quick win over Bencic. And good grief, Djokovic has another non- match with Youzny retiring at 4-2 down in the first set  ::-)

Oh Dear, that wasn't very good from Jo Konta  :-\. Let's hope Kyle Edmunds isn't steamrollered tonight.
