What should we do with it?

We've tried a bit with some nice bread but need suggestions as to what else to try it with please. Ta.

I'd guess it would be nice on some really good pasta with just a sprinkling of Parmesan.

Wot 'e said. <drool>

Also: stir some into scrambled eggs just before serving, melt a knob of it on top of a grilled steak, stir some into a risotto (or just melt it on top), or if you're really feeling decadent, a big chunk of it mixed into some mashed potato.

Don't do that! You'll need an ambulance . . .

Well that's the more blunt way of putting it but as usual he's dead right.

Ta for that, will give it a go. I'll have to keep out of the kitchen as I'd find it really hard not to sneak extra ingredients in.

If there's any left - scrambled eggs.

We have a bottle of truffle oil that my parents brought back from France last summer. I never usually think to use it but I did yesterday and drizzled a little on my breakfast - poached eggs, grilled tomatoes and mushrooms.

It was amazing!

Scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for breakfast today. I might just add a little truffle oil to that too.

Update:

It was lovely. I didn't interfere and it was cooked as suggested by SteveC. The garlic bread chaser helped but it didn't need anything else at all.

Smoked butter next. All part of a hamper from Lune Valley Smokehouse. Highly recommended!

Worth visiting the Red Well for their wares. It's next door.

Glad you enjoyed it.
MrsC is not a great one for mushrooms of any description, so truffles are not likely at home.
I've had the Jamie Oliver version of what I suggested (at "Jamie's Italian") and it was pretty damn good there, so I guessed doing it at home would be even better.
