Smashing!  We can meet up opposite the fire station at 7:30.  I have finessed the route a bit  :smug:

Tomsk - I think it might be closer to 8:30

I'll be coming out, but won't be able to leave home until sometime after 19:30, dependent on Brownies pick up.

It would be more like 1940 by the time I got to the fire station, but there's some uncertainty in that.

You chaps could set off at 19:30 and I could follow the route and catch you up, hopefully by Boreham.

Due to work booking me in to a meeting to start 30 minutes after my holiday starts I may not be able to make the departure time but will still try to make the pub via a more direct route.  What time is your Green Man eta?

Looks like a damp evening ahead....I/we will be waiting in the Six Bells at Boreham, probably [Soupy is a bit dubious....] - reckon about 8pm there.
The CM8 postcode area on BBC weather is showing as cloudy but dry - tell Soupy he needs some character building if he's to do PBP  :P  ;D

OK - we'll wait at the Six Bells if you haven't caught us up.

Just made a suggestion to Bloomers that we should have another end of season dinner at Omar's in HP.

Let me know suitable dates/ times and I will book a table. Mid Octoberish?

Excellent idea.  Remind me not to have the curried fish.  Strangely, the only Wednesday I know I can't make is the one right in the middle of October, that being the 16th.

I/we'll wait in the Six Bells  Probably leaving here at about 19:00...Boreham is about an hour if we take a fairly direct route through the Walthams.

An evening of unwelcome drama last night, they say things come in threes ...

1. A rather embarrassing navigational blunder by me.   Oaky is not going to let me live it down for a while
2. Dan (Soapy) gets taken down by an angry driver clipping him with his wing mirror - a nasty incident
3. Then Slippy gets a flat front tyre

When we eventually get to The Green Man we find Huggy patiently waiting.  That American IPA was quite nice.

Bashed elbow, bruised hip.  According to Tomsk he's not too sore this morning.  Dan did well to pick himself up and carry on - proper hard.  It was too dark and the car was moving too fast to get any ID, more's the pity.

Tonight, I will be heading over to the Compasses at Littley Green, where I will be joined by chief of this parish.

I will be setting off from Witham around 7:45 with an ETA of 8:30 at the Compasses.

Tonight (Matthew) I shall be doing the shop's quarterly VAT return  :'(   >:(

Say hello to chief for me.  Remind him that there is camping fun to be had on the weekend of 19th / 20th October.  He'll be find on his Dawes.

Definitely not me. I'm still feeling the effects of the weekend. Still haven't got all the feeling back in my fingers and toes, generally knackered and light headed.

I still have slightly tingly little fingers and my legs feel strong but seem to fatigue quickly, but I'm otherwise OK.

It'll be interesting to see how the legs cope with a ride longer than my station commute though.
