Alas I’m otherwise engaged this evening. The note from my Mum would cite having to take part in a webinar at 1900hrs with our US parent company (bloody colonials  >:( ) and having an early start tomorrow for a socially distanced team meeting in Fordingbridge, I’m even staying in a hotel  :o

So, all coming over here, or do we need a more central venue? Beer supply offer still applies if here ...

Happy for that, I might try an automated start for the telescope as well to see how that goes!

I wouldn't mind beer being bought - I owe Ian a pint or two as well...

How much a bottle? I am thinking of limiting to 3 or 4

20:00 arrival again?

I think Luckins & Co-op do 500ml bottles at around £2 - £2.50 each - so £10 contribution as per usual? Or pay per bottle. I'll get a selection - Co-op offers = £7 for 4 recently, Luckins will do a mixed case of Bishop Nick or whatever. I'll be getting the trailer out for the beer run later today! And crisps etc on the shopping list.

I'm going to go out for a decent ride late pm with a plan to arrive at your for about 8.

I have printed off entry forms for all 4 of your 200s - making plans for August - If I bring 12 quid could I please pick up cards for them all ?

Thanks

I'm hoping to be available for a 7pm launch from Witham.  Could I put a reservation in for 2 bottles of random beer, please?
I also hope to have some German nipples to hand over to BFC

I might be out tonight. Not sure what's going on at the moment so will bring my own beer. Might be more like 9 before I turn up.

I'm hoping to be there.  I have a late meeting, so I might be a bit later than 20:00, but happy to put in a contribution fro the beer kitty.  (assuming I'm in time for the beer buying run)

Good, I make that six possibly seven requiring beer + alcohol-free beer and coffee for rob! I have 20 bottles of assorted Bishop Nick and Co-op specials, £2.67 each for the former and £1.75 for the latter. Maybe need to pop out for more later?

Control signs will be out up the alleyway to guide you through the back gates and into the garden.

Thanks for last night Tom!  Money sent via paypal.

Great views on the way home of the planets, Comet hidden away in cloud however. Managed 30 mins on the telescope before the clouds rolled in when I got home too!

We cycled past the spiritual home yesterday afternoon and it looked quite busy (there were a lot of cars)

Yes to the Spiritual Home on Wednesday  fantastic! Out in the spacious garden though - I hope that's ok for those reluctant to go pubbing. Btw, Mrs T and I braved a busy Wetherspoons in Ramsgate on Saturday evening - seemed well organised on the social distancing and hygiene front, but we were all indoors as it was chucking it down.

Big airy marquee out the back so you don’t have to come in the pub. You can also pay in cash so the BB can come and get the drinks.
You can’t just call time out and stroll on into the beach if you don’t like the way things are goin’.

For purpose of setting times for launch and arrival at the Spiritual Home:
Set off from the usual launchpad at 7pm
Expected arrival between 8 and 8:30pm, depending upon how convoluted OD's nose gets on the route

Works for me

In other news I was thinking of an overnighter on Friday 7th August. The Voice of Regan has found a nice wild camping / bivvy spot at Shinglehead Point, Tollesbury.  Anyone fancy it?  Chris and his mates took tents which I might do rather that bivvy. I have a new sleeping bag and stove to try.

Also I’m thinking of a two night, long distance bivvy trip in September.

Possibly ... I have pencilled in that weekend for a longer trip though. September may be time for a go at a series of 200km DIYs.

Looks like I'll be along this evening. ETA 20:30 as I've been asked to include some scenery on the route.
