I'd gladly organise a ride in Essex somewhere, but I'd suggest that our roads are much nastier at the moment than any off-road you've ever attempted.
There is always Richmond Park, but I don't know what its roads are like at the moment...
We Long Haul Trucked around the passable bits of Richmond Park today. It's clear and gritted from Roehampton Gate to Richmond Gate to Kingston Gate. The rest is an ice rink.
Congratulations on your n+1! You will not be disappointed.
Ours even carried us over several nasty bits of solid ice today, on our intrepid ride from Richmond Park to Hampton Court Palace (for cream teas and chocolate brownies
) and back in pretty heavy snow showers via Bushy Park, Teddington, Chiswick and a section of the Thames Path. (OK, I wimped out of one shot-ice section when I skidded and almost came a cropper.)
However, once you've ridden it you might not have the same loving relationship with your other bikes. I've not ridden any of mine since Milly the LHT came into my life.
